Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are getting ready to celebrate their love with their friends and family. The couple is hosting the wedding of the century in Venice, Italy, with all manner of celebrities arriving for a week-long party made up of various events. Miguel Bezos, Jeff's father, was photographed earlier this week arriving in the city and boarding a water taxi that would take him to his hotel and to his son.
Here's what we know about the strong relationship between Miguel and Jeff Bezos:

Jeff Bezos is the son of Jacklyn Bezos and Ted Jorgensen. He was born in 1964, when his parents were teenagers. They split up when Jeff was around a year old, prompting Jackyn to meet Miguel years later. Miguel adopted Jeff when he was four years old. Over the years, Jeff has shared how important his parents are to him, sharing that Miguel is his "natural" father.
“The reality, as far as I’m concerned, is that my Dad is my natural father,” said Jeff in an interview with Wired magazine in 1999. “The only time I ever think about it, genuinely, is when a doctor asks me to fill out a form.”

Miguel was born in Santiago, Cuba, and moved to the US when he was 16 years old.
“I think in every immigrant you'll find a deep optimism and a deep resilience too. My dad is an intense hard worker. My dad is warm and he teaches an easy smile," said Jeff when introducing Miguel at the 2022 Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Awards.
In a post shared on Instagram, Jeff spoke fondly of his father and his desire to immigrate to the US for a better life. "My brother, sister and I could not have a better role model. We love him and are so proud of him."
The post was reshared by Lauren Sanchez, who added a comment of her own. "This tribute is everything," she wrote, adding some white heart emojis.
