Cameron Diaz's former assistant is opening up about her experiences working for the beloved actress.
Diaz's former assistant, Janet Caperna, is starring in a new reality series called "The Valley," discussing her experience as an assistant in Los Angeles.
“I worked for Avaline, which is Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power’s wine brand,” Caperna said. She revealed she loved the experience and her role in Diaz's team. She also shared that she remains a fan of the wine, even after having left the company.
Avaline was founded in 2020 by close friends Diaz and Power, producing all manner of wines, from white to red to sparkling.
"My goal for Avaline is to make good wine accessible to everyone—wine with minimal intervention; wine that’s aligned with our values," said Diaz to Elle shortly after the launch of the brand. "I feel like you shouldn’t have to go to a specialty shop. You should be able to go to the supermarket.”
She revealed she sent a bottle to Beyoncé during the launch. “I hope she got it!" she said with a laugh. "I just want everybody to try it. When you make something, all you want is for others to feel as excited as you do, you know?”
Cameron Diaz made her acting comeback this year
After a decade away from the spotlight, Diaz returned to movie-making with "Back in Action," a movie starring her and Jamie Foxx.
“It was an invitation to work with someone I admire. Just a couple of weeks in the city, and I was able to spend every night with my family,” she said in an interview with Vogue Mexico.
While she didn't make it clear if she was planning to return to acting in more movies, fans can expect her to return to the world of the "Shrek" franchise next year. She'll be reprising her role of Princess Fiona in the awaited "Shrek 6."
