Brooke Shields stuns in a black bikini while celebrating her 60th birthday

Brooke Shields is welcoming a new decade on the beach. The actress and model is celebrating her birthday while traveling, sharing photos of herself as she enjoys nature in a black bikini.

Shields shared some photos and a message on social media, wearing a black bikini as she sunbathed in a gorgeous-looking beach. 

The photos showed Shields lying on a white hammock as she smiled for the camera. In one photo, she looks straight at the camera, while in another, she's seen with her body turned away from the camera and her head turned back, smiling widely. 

"Woke up today in paradise…" she captioned the post. "And in a new decade of life! This is 60! Thank you for all of the birthday love."

Shields is all about empowerment in this new decade

In a previous post shared in partnership with the brand Commence, Shields shared some of her beliefs as she enters a new decade in life and embraces her sixties. 

"Propaganda we're not falling for: That 60 means slowing down. That change is only for your twenties. That it's too late to learn something new. That my best days are in the rearview. That women 'of a certain age' aren't a force to be reckoned with. That I don't deserve products made specifically for me. That not every day can be a good hair day," reads the post, which shows Shields smiling in a photoshoot as she wears a white button up and some pants.

Over the past, Shields has opened up about aging and about feeling better in her skin and feeling more confident now than she did in her youth. 

“I am more youthful now than I was in my youth,” she said in a 2024 interview with Allure. “My energy, my confidence, my lack of self-judgment. The negative tapes that I played [in my mind]… they don’t play anymore. They’re all stretched out.”
