The model - who is mother to four children with her husband John Legend, recently shared a picture of herself in hospital with her face and head covered in bandages, and she’s now explained she went under the knife for a procedure to help her hair.
In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “Hi friends! [A] lot of you have been wondering about my hospital pic, which is very understandable as I gave no explanation, LOL. I had a hairline lowering procedure.”
“Lost a lot in the front from babies, and it’s just very thin up there. When you see it on a carpet, it’s ALWAYS extensions.”
She added: “Anyhow, I’ll share more later if you’re interested in the journey because it really is a journey, lol.”
The couple are parents to Luna, nine; Miles, seven; Esti, two; and their youngest son, Wren, who was born via surrogate just months after Chrissy gave birth to Esti.
Chrissy previously went under the knife back in 2021 to undergo an eyebrow transplant to thicken up her thinning brows.
In a post on Instagram, Chrissy explained she opted for the surgery after over-plucking her brows back when she was a teenager.
She wrote: “I never wear make-up if I can avoid it, so I was so excited for this eyebrow transplant surgery ...They take hairs from the back of your head!!” before adding: “It’s so cool to have brows again.”
She warned other young women to take better care of their eyebrows, writing: “Teens: Do not pluck them all off like I did!!” Six months after the operation, Chrissy admitted she didn’t have any regrets about the procedure. She wrote in a post on social media: “Blessing and a curse, this eyebrow procedure. 10/10 would do again lol.”
Chrissy also previously underwent a buccal fat removal treatment to sculpt her cheekbones back in 2021.In an Instagram Story post, she explained: “I did that Dr. Diamond buccal fat removal thing here. Since I quit drinking, I’ve really seen the results. And I like it.”
