Melania Trump opened up about parenting on Mother's Day. The First Lady was involved in different Mother's Day events, and shared an interesting message about the challenges and benefits of raising a child.
In an appearance over the weekend at a White House celebration for military mothers, Melania discussed the special bond that exists between mothers and their children.
"Motherhood: The life-changing event that makes women invincible and exposed at the same time. It’s remarkable, really, that my son’s life creates unimaginable, unpredictable concerns and thrills for me, even until this day," said Melania in her speech.
"All caring mothers understand this rare feeling. Nothing against fathers, of course, but in my opinion, and I am sure everyone in this room agrees—only a mother can grasp this particular point."
Melania shared more thoughts on her Twitter account and shared a snippet of her speech.
Donald Trump says Melania is 'almost too good' at parenting
At the White House event, Donald Trump congratulated mothers and shared his thoughts on Melania's parenting skills, and her bond with Barron.
"I especially want to thank one of the best moms that I know that I've ever seen, sometimes she's almost too good," said Trump. "She's so good with Barron that he's grown up strong and nice and he's a good boy, he's a good student, so I want to thank you. You've done a great job.
Donald and Melania welcomed Barron in 2006, becoming Donald's fifth child and Melania's first. Over the years, various sources have spoken about Melania and Barron's relationship, revealing that Melania is very protective of her son.
"She has always surrounded herself with family. She is a doting mother to Barron and very protective of him. This is nothing new," said a source to PEOPLE in 2023.
