Their decision to call off the wedding comes one year after it was reported that they “experienced a rough patch” in March 2024, with the pair not spending quality time together amid scheduling conflicts.

“That was hard for Jonathan to deal with because he can’t be everywhere with her,” a source told Us Weekly. “They made some compromises at the time and worked through it.”

“They were supposed to get married this spring. The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it,” the source continued. “Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”

The insider explained that “a lot of their issues” come from the star's busy schedule. “She doesn’t have a lot of downtime, and it causes tension in their relationship. Sydney is really focused on her career,” the source explained. “Jonathan wishes they were able to spend more quality time together.”
