Khloé Kardashian reveals why she hasn’t told True about her split from Tristan Thompson

Khloé Kardashian wants to protect her children from adult topics. In a new episode of "The Kardashians," the media personality and businesswoman revealed that her 6-year-old daughter True doesn't know that her parents are separated.

Kardashian and Tristan Thompson share two kids: True, 6, and Tatum, 2. Kardashian shared that even though she's no longer with Thompson, she wants to protect her children from learning the news until it's absolutely necessary. 

In a confessional, Kardashian shared that she wanted her daughter's life to not be impacted and for her to grow up wanting to get married and form a family of her own. 

“Right now, I believe you do things for your kids because kids should not be involved in adult problems," she said.

While she stands by her decision, she still worries that her kids think that marriage is what she has with Thompson. "Oh, you’re married to someone and they don’t live with you. And you never have to kiss them or you don’t sleep in the same bed together," said Kardashian. 

“I would love for them to see love and affection and romance. I do want them to have that.”

Kardashian and Thompson were first romantically linked in 2016. Since, the pair have engaged in an on-and-off relationship that was thoroughly covered by the media, with Thompson being photographed and recorded with other women shortly before the birth of his daughter True. 

In 2019, Kardashian addressed her break-up with Tristan and made it clear that she's moved on and has no hard feelings over him and the women he cheated on her with. The pair got back together shortly after, with the relationship ending definitively in 2022, after Thompson confirmed that he had a child with another woman. 

"Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you," he said in a statement. "I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."
