There has been a surprising update on Daddy Yankee and Mireddys González's ongoing legal battle. His eldest daughter, Yamilette Ayala, has reportedly been named director of his companies including El Cartel Records Inc. and Los, which Gonzalez previously managed, per Telemundo. The reggaeton star and his estranged wife are divorcing after 30 years of marriage; and have been fighting in court over control of the companies.

Yamilette, who is not the daughter of Mireddys but was raised by her, leads a private life away from the public eye and will act as director with her Daddy Yankee, whose real name is Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez. Details about her life are very hard to find, but it's reported that he had her from a previous relationship when he was only 17 in 1994. Given that math, she should be around 31 years old.

The news comes after a court in Puerto Rico ordered Mireddy and her sister, Ayeicha González Castellanos, to be removed from their managerial roles within the companies.

According to El Nuevo Día, Daddy Yankee and Yamilette are now listed as the directors of the corporations, which his legal team highlighted in a motion opposing Mireddys’ request to appoint a judicial administrator.

“Currently, the directors of these entities are Ramón Ayala (Daddy Yankee) and Yamilette Ayala, and there is no deadlock or tie of any kind between them,” the motion stated.

While it's no secret Daddy Yankee is having some tensions with his youngest daughter Jesaaelys, a source told People en Español, “They are closer than ever, and she has his complete trust.”

While it's a big responsibility for Yamilette, it seems like she has already been working for him and has experience with his finances. In 2021, a fan account reposted a story from Daddy Yankee on International Women's Day, where he described her as "Dad's accountant," per Latin Media.

Meanwhile, Daddy Yankee’s relationship with his youngest daughter, Jesaaelys, remains strained. “Right now, it’s a little torn… but she’s my queen. I know we’ll overcome it step by step,” he told reporters on January 14. Jesaaelys has been by her mom's side in court and has been sharing cryptic posts on social media.

She also pledged to share her side of the story soon. “In due time, I’ll clarify the why of many things,” she said.

The drama all started on December 12, 2024, when the "Dura" singer filed an injunction against González and her sister, Ayeicha, alleging unauthorized withdrawals of $100 million from his companies, El Cartel Records and Los Cangris Inc.
