Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny sent fans into a frenzy this Sunday with a compelling Instagram post captioned, "December." Among the photos, the standout was a Christmas tree uniquely adorned with dominoes and a güiro, hinting at his cultural roots while playing a snippet that many believe is a preview of his next song.

But that's not all the enigmatic rapper had in store for his followers. The carousel also included an intriguing illustration of himself with soccer legend Lionel Messi, sparking curiosity about a potential collaboration. Adding to the surprise was a selfie featuring actor Adam Sandler, which connects to an exciting development—Bad Bunny is officially part of the cast of the upcoming "Happy Gilmore 2."

Bad Bunny Joins the Golf Course Fun

Behind-the-scenes photos from the "Happy Gilmore 2" set show Bad Bunny fully immersed in character as a caddy. Sporting a mini afro, goatee, a crisp white shirt, a black bowtie, and a red caddy bib, he's dressed for the movie's fictional Tour Championship golf event, as informed by TMZ.

Meanwhile, Adam Sandler reprised his iconic role as Happy Gilmore, rocking his signature Boston Bruins hockey jersey, baggy pants, and Timberland boots. Sandler celebrated one of the first days of production on Instagram. “It ain’t over. The way I see it… we’ve only just begun," he captioned the post.

Details about the plot of the upcoming film have not been disclosed. However, the original 1996 comedy featured Adam Sandler as a struggling hockey player who discovers his natural talent for golf, leading him to become a sensation in the sport. Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald will return to their roles as Virginia Venit, Sandler's love interest, and Shooter McGavin, the film's envious antagonist.

Kyle Newacheck, the director of the Netflix comedy "Murder Mystery," will helm the project. Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy wrote the screenplay and will serve as producers alongside Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds. Dennis Dugan, who directed the original "Happy Gilmore," will act as executive producer, along with Judit Maull, Kevin Grady, David Bausch, and Barry Bernardi, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, debuted opposite Brad Pitt in Bullet Train and starred in Gael García Bernal’s Cassandro (2023). He also joined Darren Aronofsky’s crime thriller "Caught Stealing," alongside Austin Butler, and has "The Come Up," which is in pre-production, according to IMDb.

In 2022, Benito was poised to become the first Latino Marvel character with his solo live-action film, El Muerto, but the film was removed from Marvel’s release schedule.

A Surprise Appearance in San Juan

Bad Bunny surprised fans with an appearance at Rauw Alejandro's free event, "Cosa Nuestra pa’ mi gente," held last Friday in Old San Juan. The Plaza del Quinto Centenario crowd went wild as the two performed “Qué pasaría” from Rauw’s new album "Cosa Nuestra."
