Kim Kardashian, Kourtney, and Khloe honor their late father Robert on his birthday

Robert was born on February 22nd, 1944 and he married Kris Jenner (who was Kris Houghton at the time) in 1978, and they had four children, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Robert Kardashian Jr. The couple split in 1991, and he went on to marry two more times before his death in 2003.

Robert is known for being O.J Simpson’s friend and voluntary assistant to the defense for the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman in 1994. OJ was acquitted however in 1996 Robert told Barbara Walters he began to have doubts of his innocence and the two stopped talking, per The New York Times.

The attorney was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2003 and died two months later at his home in Encino, Los Angeles, at the age of 59. He was buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery, leaving behind a reported $100 million estate in trust, per Trust Advisor.

Khloe has opened up in the past about losing her father when she was just 19. On her controversial show Revenge Body, she told twins Ashley and Amber, “I still talk to my dad all the time, every night.” “Me and my daughter, we pray to him, we talk to him, so I’m a big believer of that,” she added.

Kourtney lost her father when she was only 24 and while she rarely opens up about his death in 2018 following the death of Charles Aznavour, she shared that he was her father’s favorite singer. “I hear his music playing every day through my house,“ she wrote on Instagram. “He was my dad’s absolute favorite, crazy to me that he died on the same day as my daddy. Rest in peace. you will live on through your music,” she continued. However, Azanvor died one day after Robert’s birthday.

Kourtney has also come down hard on her mother Kris for cheating on him. The momager made the confession in her memoir and in an old episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians Kourtney and Kris both ended up in tears talking about it.

Rob Jr. is not active on social media and Kim was the last sister to reflect on her father’s special day with a selfie-and touching message. “Birthday selfie with my dad! We took this pic on this day celebrating his birthday at the Armenian restaurant in 1998,” she wrote. The Skims founder continued, “Born on 2.22.44 and today it’s the angel number 2.22.22. I definitely feel the angels all around and feel you all the time. Thank you for always guiding and protecting all of us. Definitely celebrating you today dad. I miss you soooooo much.”
