Fresh off celebrating her 52nd birthday, Victoria Beckham is proving that her style evolution is nowhere near finished. While stopping by Andy Cohen Live to reminisce about her iconic '90s Spice Girls fashion and chat about her family’s early days living next door to a young, quiet Justin Bieber, it wasn’t her trip down memory lane that had fans doing a double-take; it was her strikingly fresh summer hair transformation.

Visibly blonder, significantly longer, and boasting a luminous thickness, the fashion mogul’s new aesthetic is driving internet searches wild. Did she get secret extensions, or is this the work of master color placement? We teamed up with professional stylist Rosi Fernández, director of the Ananda Ferdí salon, to break down the exact high-end techniques Beckham is using.

The Secret Behind the Length: Did She Get Extensions?

Beauty experts immediately noticed that Beckham’s hair looked significantly denser and longer than it did just weeks prior. According to Fernández, the secret lies in seamless, multi-tasking extensions rather than a sudden growth spurt: “It is very likely she is wearing extensions to slightly lengthen the hair and provide density. Additionally, it’s common for the color to be pre-worked into those extensions, which helps achieve a uniform, luminous result without damaging the natural hair as much.”

Experts noticed her hair looked significantly longer and denser than in April. Professional stylist Rosi Fernández, director of the Ananda Ferdí salon, notes: "It is very likely she is wearing some extensions to slightly lengthen the hair and provide density. Additionally, it’s common for the color to be pre-worked into those extensions, which helps achieve a uniform, luminous result without damaging the natural hair as much."

Is she blonder? Are These "Californian" Highlights?

"Yes, it has been lightened, but not from the roots," Fernández explains. She doesn't define the style as traditional "Californian" highlights because there isn't that typical marked contrast. Instead, it leans toward a soft balayage or color contouring.

  • The Technique: Lightening the front sections and strategic points in the back so that when the hair is brought forward, it looks more luminous.
  • The Result: Balayage offers a more elegant and modern effect than old-school Californian highlights, creating soft gradients that add depth and movement.

How Does the Hair Stay Silky After Bleaching?

When asked how Victoria maintains such silky hair after significant lightening, Fernández points to professional treatments.

"Today, there are treatments that repair internal bonds, seal the cuticle, and restore shine and softness," she says. One of Victoria's suspected favorites (also used by Queen Letizia and Jennifer Aniston) is Hair Gloss. This treatment provides a spectacular shine that reflects light and highlights subtle pigments, without adding more dye.
