Queen Camilla is ready to move on, according to some royal experts. As the British royal house prepares for the return of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the UK, the Queen is reportedly putting her differences aside for King Charles' benefit. Over the past years, the King has dealt with a cancer diagnosis and appears to want to reconcile with his younger son. He's 77 years old.

"Camilla has weathered far bigger storms than the Sussexes’ 2020 move, or Prince Harry’s book, ‘Spare,’" said royal commentator Meredith Constant to Fox News Digital. "Camilla knows how to lie low when she needs to. She’s going to go through the motions and put on a good face for her husband as he works on his relationship with his younger son."
"While Prince William and King Charles are not in lockstep over how to handle Prince Harry’s return, they understand that they are a unit with their respective wives," she said. "William wouldn’t expect Camilla to take a stand against her husband any more than Charles would expect that of Kate."
A separate source told InStyle that Camilla approached Harry with an "olive branch," offering tea in the secretive meeting he and his family had with the King.

Prince Harry published his controversial memoir "Spare" in 2023, criticizing the institution and its relationship with the British press. He opened up about numerous moments regarding his life with Camilla, including the moment when King Charles informed his sons that he was going to marry her.
“Despite Willy and me urging him not to, Pa was going ahead. We pumped his hand, wished him well. No hard feelings,” Harry wrote, as reported by TIME. “We recognized that he was finally going to be with the woman he loved, the woman he’d always loved.”
© Getty ImagesHe also wrote that Charles and Camilla decided to throw him under the bus in 2002, leaking news of his drug use to create sympathy for Charles as a father and for his relationship with Camilla, which received criticism due to its history and ties to the late Princess Diana.
“There was open willingness on both sides to trade information. And with a family built on hierarchy, and with her on the way to being Queen Consort, there was going to be people or bodies left in the street,” said Harry in an interview with Anderson Cooper.
