The House of York has fallen from grace following former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's association with the Epstein scandal, a situation that has kept both largely out of the public eye for months. Meanwhile, their two daughters are attempting to lead lives as normally as possible, fully aware that every move they make remains under close scrutiny.
The latest development to emerge is Princess Beatrice's trip to Italy last month. Reportedly traveling without her husband or daughters, she attended an exclusive and lavish birthday celebration in a luxurious setting.
The visit to Italy only became public after photographs surfaced showing King Charles's niece attending a glamorous event hosted in honor of her friend Lauren De Niro Pipher, proprietor of the Juliet winery. The birthday celebrant herself shared the images on her public social media account. The festivities took place at the spectacular La Posta Vecchia hotel, located just outside Rome.
In the photographs, the cousin of Princes William and Harry appears relaxed and smiling as she poses alongside fellow guests. For the evening celebrations, Beatrice wore a flowing multicolored satin silk gown with ruffled detailing by British label The Vampire's Wife. Earlier in the day, she opted for a different look, choosing a design by Australian fashion house Zimmermann featuring a structured bodice and sheer sleeves.
De Niro Pipher, who was celebrating her 40th birthday, revealed that friends had traveled from five different countries to attend the gathering. She noted that while some guests already knew one another, many met for the first time during the weekend.
According to her account, the atmosphere was notably relaxed, with little use of mobile phones beyond capturing memorable moments. Guests enjoyed good company, fine wine, generous servings of pasta, and plenty of laughter throughout the celebration.
She also said that despite carefully planning every detail of the event, the experience ultimately proved even more special and enjoyable than she had anticipated.
Princess Beatrice, 37, continues to maintain a relatively low profile since her father was stripped of all his royal titles last October. The same is true of her sister, Princess Eugenie, who has also made relatively few public appearances in recent months.
As for the former prince, controversy continues to follow him. The latest allegations surfaced this week and concern events dating back to 2002.
He is reportedly under investigation over claims of inappropriate behavior involving a woman during the Ascot races, an event attended at the time by his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
