Sisters Princess Iman and Princess Salma have back-to-back birthdays! Queen Rania of Jordan celebrated Salma turning 25 on Friday as well as Iman's upcoming 29th birthday on Saturday with a post on Instagram. Her Majesty took to her personal account on Sept. 26 to share a photo of herself proudly standing between her two daughters.

"Born four years and one day apart, and forever in my heart💖 Happy birthday to my favorite girls (although, let’s be honest, the granddaughters are catching up fast!)," the Queen wrote in her caption.

Princess Iman is the second child of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II, while Princess Salma is their third. Their Majesties are also parents to sons Crown Princess Hussein and Prince Hashem.

The Queen became a first-time grandmother in 2024 with the birth of Hussein and his wife Princess Rajwa's baby girl, Princess Iman bint Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. The Jordanian royal family grew again this year with the arrival of the King and Queen's second grandchild, Amina.

Princess Iman and her husband Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, who wed in 2023, welcomed their daughter Amina on Feb. 16 at the Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II Hospital in Aqaba. Rania shared the news of her second granddaughter's birth on Instagram, writing: "My darling Iman is now a mother. We’re grateful and overjoyed to meet Amina, our family’s newest blessing. Congratulations Jameel and Iman – may God bless you and your precious little girl."

The Queen posted a rare photo of baby Amina this week, amid her meetings in New York during the United Nations General Assembly. Alongside a photo of herself holding her youngest grandchild, Rania wrote: "With my Amina."

Before her older kids started their respective families, the mom of four admitted that her goal was to one day be a "fun grandma." During an appearance on Good Morning America in 2022, Rania said, “I used to always say my favorite title is mama, but I think that’s going to quickly change” to the “Arabic word for grandma.”

“My goal is to be like fun grandma,” the Queen added. “We have a saying in Arabic that no person is dearer to us more than our children than our grandchildren. So I’m really excited to have babies in my life soon.”
