Princess Amalia and Queen Maxima are continuing their official US visit. Earlier this week, the pair was photographed in Washington, D.C., where they attended some important meetings. Now, they've arrived in New York, where they'll be attending the United Nations' 80th assembly, which will welcome all sorts of royals and heads of state.

The gathering is an important step for Princess Amalia, the heir of her father, King Willem-Alexander. The 21-year-old princess has been getting more and more responsibilities as she grows up and gets ready to fulfill her family's duty to their country.

Over the past days, Amalia has been shadowing her mother as the two have met with different officials and representatives, including a meeting with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

Today, the Princess and the Queen attended the UN Assembly in New York, alongside the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof. Amalia has been wearing different suits throughout her trip, this time opting for a peach-colored jacket and pants that she matched with black heels and a black top.

In the case of Queen Maxima, she wore a mustard colored suit that she paired with matching heels and a clutch purse.

The Princess joined her mother and Queen Mathilde of Belgium as they listened to the opening remarks at the assembly, which were kicked off by President Donald Trump.

More details about the Princess and the Queen's trip

Earlier this week, Queen Maxima and the Princess were working on promoting financial opportunities for Latin America and the Caribbean, an agenda that the Queen has been pursuing for the past year. As the Queen met with representatives of various financial banks and organizations, her daughter sat next to her and listened attentively, following along with a folder of notes that she held on to throughout the day.

In an interview with HOLA!, Queen Maxima revealed more of her royal duties, including her work for Latin America. "I'm now focused on financial health," she said. "We know now that many more people can get credit. Which is amazing, because it provides them with more opportunities to generate income."

"We have to examine with great attention how we can develop financial services that directly benefit people's financial health," she concluded.
