After what many have described as “the summer of her life,” which began right after graduating from the University of Amsterdam, Princess Amalia of the Netherlands has returned to official duties, opening a new chapter in her preparation to one day become queen.

Wearing a sharp “working girl” look, the crown princess officially resumed her public agenda one week after her parents, following a summer in which the royal family spent several weeks at their luxurious villa in Kranidi, Greece, overlooking the Aegean Sea.
© REMKO DE WAALThose holidays began just after Amalia graduated in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE) and after the NATO leaders’ reception held at Huis ten Bosch Palace on June 24. That high-level diplomatic event also marked her first return to the spotlight following an equestrian accident a few weeks earlier.
Now begins a different phase for the heir, as her official presence grows steadily. At the same time, her sisters follow other paths: Princess Alexia continues her university studies in the United Kingdom, while the youngest, Princess Ariane, has embarked on a gap year.
