Marius Borg Høiby's case continues. One year ago, Borg was arrested for the first time, with the situation developing into one of the biggest scandals in Norway's history. Following a long and thorough investigation by authorities, the court in Norway has accused Borg of 32 felonies, stating that his case would take place in 2026.

Now we know the exact date of the trial that has captivated the attention of the world.

The Oslo District Court has shared a window for the trial, beginning on February 3rd until March 13th. "We think that's perfect since that gives us all enough time after consulting with the defense," said Ellen Holager Andenæs, one of the lawyers that are a part of Borg's team.

The trial is expected to last for six weeks, with there being a total of 24 sessions, with Borg and other related parties are expected to take the stand. "We'll also have time to present our witnesses and the proof we have to clarify the case," continued the lawyer.

A possibility of 10 years in prison

Borg faces a possibility of 10 years in prison if found guilty. He's being accused of rape by four different women, among other felonies, including violent acts, death threats, violating a restraining order, and more.

"This case is very serious. Violence in intimate relationships is a serious act that can have long-lasting effects and can destroy lives," said Oslo State Attorney Sturla Henriksbo.

For now, only one member of the Norway royal family has shared their thoughts on the matter. "It's been a challenging and difficult time for all," said Prince Haakon. "The accusation has been cleared. Now it's up to the jury to make their decision. For our part, we'll continue to do the necessary work. Everyone involved in this case has found it challenging," he concluded.

With his words, he made it clear that the family will move forward despite the challenges they face.
