Inigo Middleton is soaking up summer, one splash at a time! James Middleton took to his Instagram on July 1 to share a precious video of his one-year-old son taking a bath outdoors in a bucket.
"Bath time in a bucket 🛁 ☀️ does it get any better than that… I just wish I could fit! ❤️ ," James captioned the video, which was set to Ocie Elliott's "Be Around."
"Adorable. Life should be that happy and simple for all of us. 😃," one Instagram user commented on the post, while another wrote, "What a cutie❤️ it’s always the simple things that you cherish."
The video showed Inigo blowing a kiss and splashing in his bucket. After adorably putting water on his head, dad James came into frame to help his little boy wash his blonde hair.
Inigo is James and Alizee Thevenet's first child. Two years after tying the knot on Sept. 11, 2021 in the French village of Bormes-les-Mimosas, the Princess of Wales' brother and sister-in-law welcomed their son in September of 2023.
James—who has six dogs: Zulu, Mabel, Inka, Luna, Nala, and Isla—told HOLA! USA's sister brand HELLO! earlier this year that his son "spent the first year of his life thinking he was a dog." The James & Ella founder also joked that Inigo's "first word was 'woof.'" He revealed to HELLO!, "But he loves dogs, particularly Isla—he puts his arm around her neck and squeezes. He loves chatting to the animals – he shouts at the chickens and knows what noise a cow makes. He shares many of my loves, which are tractors, sheep and dogs."
When James officially introduced his son in October 2023, he posted snapshots of Inigo with the fury member of his family, as well as a snapshot of Inigo holding a pendant of his late dog Ella. "He has been in our lives for just a few weeks but they have been the most special of my life getting to know our beautiful baby boy 💙 No matter how prepared I thought I was…I was not prepared for the overwhelming emotion of meeting Inigo for the first time and the love for my darling Alizée as we became three," the Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life author captioned the pictures. "We have settled into our new life as parents and I’ve told him all about Ella and that if it wasn’t for her he wouldn’t be here today and that we miss her greatly."
James added, "The dogs have been fantastic at welcoming their little brother into the pack (although Inka needs to know the teddybears are not all for her…) 🐾."
Months after Inigo's arrival, James shared that his son had "found his place amongst the pack." In December 2023, James wrote on Instagram that his baby boy had "already found his place amongst the pack, giggling every time one of the dogs comes over to nestle up beside us."
