Has Prince Harry 'cut off' his cousin Princess Eugenie?

Prince Harry's relationship with his cousin Princess Eugenie has reportedly "soured." According to The Sun, the Princess has been "cast out" by the Duke of Sussex. The relationship is said to have foundered after Eugenie was spotted at a pub with Piers Morgan in 2023.

A friend told The Sun, "A dim view was taken of this, as Piers has clashed with Meghan and Harry in the past," adding, "Eugenie has been supportive of Harry and Meghan for years and was right there at the beginning of their relationship - but it has now soured."

On his show Uncensored, Piers stated that the rift between the royal cousins is true. Discussing the Duke on the program, Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan claimed, "He has no relationship friends. He has zero relationship with his family. We just read that he cut off Eugenie, Princess Eugenie."

Piers then interjected that that was because of him. He explained, "Well, that was because of me actually, the Eugenie thing, because she was having lunch with me and a group of people in a pub in London. And I was seen hugging them goodbye, and Harry saw this and went completely ballistic. I can confirm, breaking news, that is entirely true. Cause he couldn't bear it."

However, a source told Us Weekly that there is no rift between Prince Harry and his cousin. The source said, “If anything, Eugenie is the only person in contact with him."

Princess Eugenie, who was pregnant with her second child at the time, as well as her sister Princess Beatrice were photographed at a pub in Notting Hill along with Piers and James Blunt in April 2023. Eugenie and Beatrice are first cousins with Prince Harry.

Eugenie was featured in the Sussexes' 2022 Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan. Footage of the Princess and Harry at the Super Bowl in California and on a beach were included in the series. In Harry & Meghan, the Duke and Duchess also discussed going out with Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank on Halloween 2016 before news of their relationship broke.

During her sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, the Duchess of Sussex revealed that she knew Eugenie before she started dating Harry. “Eugenie and I had known each other before I had known Harry, so that was comfortable," Meghan shared (via People magazine). “We’re friends with them as a couple.”
