Happy birthday, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine! King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark's twins turned 14 on Wednesday, Jan. 8. The Danish Royal House celebrated the pair's birthday with new photos of Their Majesties' younger son and younger daughter.

The siblings, who are third and fourth in line to the throne, were dressed in formalwear in the pictures, with Josephine wearing a long-sleeve dress, which she accessorized with gold necklaces and what appears to be an Hermes Clic H bracelet. Meanwhile, Vincent sported a black tux and velvet bow tie.

Alongside the photos on Instagram, the Danish Royal House wrote (translated to English): "Their Royal Highnesses Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine have a birthday and are turning 14 today 🇩🇰."

The new pictures of the twins were taken on New Year's Eve, shortly after their father gave his first New Year's address. His Majesty delivered his speech from the King's Reception Room in Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg.

In his address, the Danish King spoke about being a dad to four teenagers: Crown Prince Christian, 19, Princess Isabella, 17, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. Frederik said, "As the parents of four teenagers, Mary and I have learnt that it does help to listen. To ask questions without making assumptions. To give a hug instead of taking immediate action."

"Our children are different. So are young people. There is not one story that captures everybody’s identity. We get the best idea of who young people are by letting them speak, each individually," the King added. "Time and again they impress us with their understanding of themselves and of others. In my eyes, they are courageous. Because they dare show vulnerability and see it as a strength. Today’s young people accept themselves for what they are. You dare to be both/and. Both vulnerable and strong."

Josephine and Vincent's 13th birthday last year came six days before their dad ascended the throne. Jan. 14, 2025 will mark one year since Frederik's accession day.
