The coronation weekend marked a royal first for Prince Louis ! The Prince and Princess of Wales ’ youngest child undertook his first official engagement on Monday. As part of The Big Help Out, Louis, five, volunteered with his parents and older siblings, Prince George , nine, and Princess Charlotte , eight, at Upton Scouts Hut in Slough.

The Big Help Out on May 8, which was a tribute to King Charles’ public service, aimed to use “volunteering to bring communities together and create a lasting volunteering legacy from the Coronation Weekend.”

William and Catherine volunteered with their three kids—Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis—on the final day of the coronation weekend.

While Louis attended King Charles’ coronation on May 6 and has stepped out with his family on holidays, the outing on May 8 marked his first official royal engagement.

Louis was dressed in a striped polo top and shorts for his first-ever royal engagement.

The young Prince got to work, giving his mom a helping hand with a wheelbarrow. The Princess of Wales has been joint president of the Scouts since 2020.

Louis also rode in an excavator with his dad, Prince William.

It wasn’t all work and no play for Louis! The Prince roasted marshmallows and snacked on them during the outing.

Louis was pictured making a silly face as he ate a marshmallow.

“You’ve made his day! You won’t hear a peep out of him now for about an hour,” William was heard saying after Louis was handed a s’more.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s younger brother tried his hand at archery.

It was a plastic bow and arrow!

Princess Charlotte also had a go.

As did Prince George!

The Prince left his mark, while hand painting on a wall.

During the engagement, the Waleses joined volunteers in renovating the Scout Hut. The Big Help Out took place on the third and final day of the coronation weekend. The palace previously said, "In tribute to His Majesty The King's public service, The Big Help Out will encourage people to try volunteering for themselves and join the work being undertaken to support their local areas."
