Kenia Os

From Mazatlán to K de Karma, the Mexican star has turned an online following into a pop career that keeps getting bigger.

Kenia Os knows what it means to have an audience grow with you. Long before thousands of fans were singing her songs back to her, she was a teenager in Mazatlán talking to a camera. Millions began following her life online. Then she did something that could have easily gone wrong: she left the world that made her famous and started again in music.

Nearly a decade later, Kenia is no longer introduced simply as the YouTuber who became a singer. She has built a pop career with its own sound, visual world and fiercely loyal audience, while remaining closely tied to the place where everything started. Born Kenia Guadalupe Flores Osuna in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, she has often spoken about the pride she feels in being Mexican and, specifically, Mazatleca.

Her move into music began independently in 2018 and eventually led to Sony Music Mexico. Albums Cambios de Luna and K23 followed in 2022, with “Malas Decisiones” becoming one of the songs that expanded her audience and Universo K23 earning her first Latin Grammy nomination.

In 2025, the scale of what she had built became impossible to miss. Kenia Os: La OG took fans behind her Pink Aura tour and shows at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes, bringing that world to movie theaters. She also found a natural place alongside some of Latin music’s biggest names: “JACKPOT” with Belinda and “Tommy & Pamela” with Peso Pluma won at Premio Lo Nuestro, while “En 4” with Anitta earned Girl Power at Premios Juventud. ¡HOLA! named her a Latina Powerhouse that year, and there is good reason to see her here again in 2026.

This year, however, the most revealing part of Kenia’s story may be K de Karma. Her first album in nearly two years came after a difficult period of online criticism, something she has dealt with since her earliest days on the internet. She took that experience into the studio and came out with a record about desire, freedom and what she calls “divine justice.” It is also a more sensual and playful Kenia, one who seems increasingly comfortable deciding for herself what comes next.

In September, “Fifty Fifty,” her collaboration with Lola Índigo, won Girl Power at Premios Juventud 2026, marking Kenia’s second consecutive win in the category.

The camera that first connected Kenia Os with millions of people is still part of her story, but it no longer defines her. At 27, she has the albums, the stages and the audience to tell a much bigger one. And with K de Karma, this new era of Kenia Os feels unmistakably hers.
