A breakfast that prepares itself while you sleep, that’s the magic of overnight oats. This healthy, time-saving, and versatile meal has become a morning staple across homes and social media feeds alike.

The secret lies in its simplicity: mix rolled oats with milk (or a plant-based drink), yogurt, fruit, and seeds or nuts, then refrigerate overnight. By morning, you’ll wake up to a creamy, nutrient-packed breakfast ready to enjoy.

Rich in fiber and complex carbohydrates, oats provide long-lasting energy and support digestive health. Whether you follow a vegan, gluten-free, or high-protein diet, overnight oats adapt to every lifestyle, offering a nourishing and delicious start to your day.

Preparation time: 10 minutes + overnight refrigeration

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cups rolled oats
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup plain or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch fine salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • Crunchy granola (homemade or high-quality store-bought)

  1. In a bowl, mix the oats, milk, yogurt, honey, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, mash half of the berries with a fork.
  3. Divide the oat mixture into two parts: mix one part with the mashed berries and use it as the base in two glass jars.
  4. Spoon the remaining oat mixture on top, seal with lids, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  5. Before serving, add the remaining berries, sprinkle with granola, and drizzle with a little honey if desired.

Chef’s tip: Using Greek yogurt makes the texture extra creamy and indulgent.

Did you know? Oats are one of the cereals richest in soluble fiber, which helps you feel full for hours and supports healthy digestion.

Pro tip: Prepare your oats in glass jars; they preserve freshness and nutrients better while making breakfast on the go effortless.
