Leire Fernandez and Idania del Rio co-founded Clandestina in 2015 and began selling their designs to the U.S. online in 2017.
Their clothing and handbags are ethically made in Cuba. Female leadership is big for Clandestina as most of their team is made up of, and lead, by women.
As Cuba's first independent fashion brand, Clandestina is breaking the glass ceiling and is now physically available in Brooklyn, NY at The Canvas.
