Apple Martin took a softer approach to the trend while out in Los Angeles.

The 22-year-old was photographed in a romantic white minidress featuring floral lace, a drop waist, ruffled detailing and delicate embroidery. She finished the look with caramel-toned block heels, an oxblood handbag, sunglasses and understated jewelry.

Dakota Fanning went crisp and polished in New York City, giving the late-summer white dress a preppy spin.

While filming a commercial outside Dante Aperitivo on August 24, Fanning wore a white cotton A-line shirtdress with a loose silhouette and easy flat sandals. The look was connected to Polo Ralph Lauren and arrived just as New York shifted into US Open season.

Harry Styles is proving breezy summer whites are not just about sundresses.

The singer was spotted strolling through New York City on August 25 ahead of his Madison Square Garden residency wearing an oversized white button-down with voluminous sleeves and a loose, relaxed fit. He paired it with wide-leg gray dress trousers, a slim black belt and brown Prada shoes that landed somewhere between a loafer and boat shoe.

Styles left the shirt open at the collar and partially tucked it into his high-waisted trousers, allowing the oversized silhouette to remain the focus. Black sunglasses and his frequently worn "Techno Is My Boyfriend" cap pushed the polished separates firmly into off-duty territory.
