Latin American designer and creative director Marcel Castellano is preparing to introduce one of the most visually compelling concepts of Miami Swim Week 2026 with the debut of Origen, an immersive fashion experience set to premiere on May 29 at ALUR Gallery in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District.
Rather than presenting a traditional runway show, Castellano is transforming fashion into a sensory art installation. In an exclusive first look shared with HOLA! USA, the designer reveals a project rooted in identity, craftsmanship, and emotional storytelling, offering audiences an intimate journey through culture and creativity.
A Fashion Experience Inspired by Identity and Heritage
At the center of Origen is the exploration of personal and cultural roots. The collection incorporates handcrafted techniques and tactile materials such as crochet, leather, and linen, each element carefully selected to reflect the richness of Latin American artistry through a contemporary luxury lens.
Instead of showcasing garments in motion on a runway, Castellano presents every piece as an individual work of art. Guests will move through the exhibition space experiencing the textures, construction, and emotional narratives behind each design. “Fashion, for me, is about building worlds,” Castellano shared when discussing his creative vision.
The designer’s multidisciplinary background in photography, cinema, visual arts, and fashion continues to shape his signature aesthetic. His work often combines cinematic storytelling with sculptural silhouettes and emotionally charged concepts, creating collections that feel immersive rather than purely wearable.
Marcel Castellano’s Global Creative Vision
Born from Colombian and Venezuelan roots, Castellano has emerged as a rising force in contemporary Latin fashion. His international experiences and artistic exploration continue to influence the perspective behind his collections.
“I’ve had a career deeply enriched by culture. I’m a creative who has had the opportunity to live in different countries, and at the same time I’ve explored various areas of art, which has given me a global creative vision that I incorporate into each of my designs,” Castellano tells HOLA! USA.
For Castellano, Origen is designed to challenge the expectations of what a fashion presentation can look like during Miami Swim Week. Castellano adds, “It will not be a conventional runway show. It will be presented as an art exhibition. I’m not only offering clothing, but a creative universe where viewers can experience something different and discover more about my vision.”
