If there’s a dress code the Kardashian-Jenner family never misses, it’s latex. And this weekend, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian made a compelling case for red rubber as the unofficial uniform of festive season.
Spotted separately but clearly aligned in spirit, the sisters stepped out in head-turning scarlet looks that proved once again why they’re among the most fearless fashion risk-takers in celebrity style.
The most striking moment belonged to Kylie Jenner, who lit up West Hollywood in a cherry-toned, figure-hugging latex halter dress while attending the OBB Media holiday party.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder leaned fully into the high-glam fantasy, pairing the skin-tight silhouette with clear PVC Amina Muaddi heels and Harry Kotlar diamond stud earrings. Her extra-long nails were painted to perfectly match the vivid red of the dress, while her long brunette hair fell loose over one shoulder.
The dress’s plunging shape and glossy finish echoed Jenner’s recent Khy collaboration with Poster Girl, which featured similarly daring red and black latex gowns.
And if anyone has the confidence to commit to the look, it’s Jenner herself. As she once joked about her latex obsession, “I would wear this outfit to the clerb. I would wear this outfit to pick up my kids from school. I would take this outfit to take business meetings," she said on Instagram.
Latex has long been a staple of Jenner’s wardrobe. From her decade-anniversary 'King Kylie' moment in bubblegum-pink latex to her frequent rotation of PVC minis and shiny leather separates, bold materials and saturated color have become her signature.
While Kylie brought the drama to a holiday party, Kim Kardashian opted for a pared-back, but no less impactful, take on festive latex. The Skims founder was spotted heading to Nobu Malibu for a sushi dinner with daughter North West, wearing bright red latex leggings styled with a black leather hoodie and coordinating black leather thigh-high boots.
The look was Balenciaga and was finished with extra-long red nails and lucite Amina Muaddi heels. Kardashian’s comfort with latex is well-documented, even when it comes with challenges. Just this past fall, during her 'All’s Fair' press tour, she shared a behind-the-scenes fashion struggle that quickly went viral.
Kim and Kylie's latest festive looks:
The Kardashian-Jenner sisters are closing out the year in full high-fashion form, turning December appearances into a master class in festive dressing, each in her own signature style.
Kylie Jenner set the tone at the 'Marty Supreme' premiere in Los Angeles, stepping onto the red carpet in a custom Chrome Hearts featuring daring side cut-outs and a plunging neckline, and a bold, body-skimming silhouette.
Posing beside Timothée Chalamet at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater on December 8, Jenner finished the ensemble with chunky silver cross chains, keeping the styling sharp and unfussy while letting the dress do the talking.
Kim Kardashian, meanwhile, leaned into vintage drama for Cade Hudson’s Christmas party in West Hollywood, proving that festive style doesn’t have to mean predictable.
The Skims founder arrived in an archival Tom Ford–era Gucci gown from the house’s Fall 2004 collection, its plunging neckline revealing a delicate lace bra beneath.
The black silk jersey dress hugged her curves and was cinched at the waist with an ornate double dragon buckle, while a sweeping black fur coat draped over her shoulders added old-Hollywood glamour and winter-ready edge. A thick black headband, rosy blush, and a glossy nude lip completed the look. The gown hails from Tom Ford’s final Gucci collection before launching his namesake label.
