Kylie Jenner is ready for fall in a boho chic look for her 28th birthday. The reality star kept things effortlessly sultry for an intimate celebration with her loved ones, sharing a glimpse of her special day while showcasing her signature aesthetic.
In a series of film shots posted to Instagram, Kylie gave fans a rare behind-the-scenes look at her intimate birthday celebrations. Simply captioned “bday film,” the post featured her in a floaty black lace ruffle top.
The blouse, completely sheer with puffed sleeves and a deep neckline, was the perfect choice for her birthday picnic. She paired the barely-there top with vintage-wash high-rise jeans and a bold black belt for a perfectly undone contrast.
Kylie’s signature dark hair was slicked back into a bun, paired with oversized gold earrings and a wine glass in hand. Another photo showed her leaning into gothic glam for her dinner party look, wearing a sheer black two-piece with a ruffled crop top and coordinating midi skirt, paired with a cross necklace and deep lipstick for added drama.
Kylie didn’t stop at one outfit. A third lace-forward ensemble, another black two-piece, showcased her commitment to the sheer trend. Beyond the style statements, the photos capture the birthday’s intentionally low-key vibe.
In a cozy moment, Jenner was seen blowing out candles, surrounded by friends and family. The sisters posed for a glam black-on-black selfie, with Kendall behind the planning of the party. “Best birthday ever!!!!!!! I’m so grateful to my family and friends for making this weekend so special and full of love. 28 feels so good!!!!!” Kylie wrote in an earlier post.
She continued, “And to my sister @kendalljenner thank you from the bottom of my heart for planning everything so perfectly. I’m so lucky to have you.” Kylie's two kids, Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3, whom she shares with ex Travis Scott, were present for the celebration.
While noticeably absent from the special day, boyfriend Timothée Chalamet didn’t let distance get in the way of romance. “Timothée went out of his way to make her feel special on her birthday,” a source told Us Weekly. “He sent gifts, they had a FaceTime call, and he coordinated meaningful gestures with Kylie’s friends that made her feel very special.”
At the time, Chalamet was filming 'Dune: Part Three' in Europe, but the couple quickly squashed rumors of a split. On August 19, the two were spotted grabbing coffee together in Budapest. A local café even shared a candid Instagram post, “They were super nice and kind, thank you for coming.”
Despite being apart for her birthday weekend, insiders say the couple is thriving. “They are very much together and don’t need to be in person together every day for it to work,” one said. “They adore each other and really make it work even with two busy schedules and sometimes not even being in the same time zone.”
The same source described their relationship as one of Kylie’s healthiest yet. “[Timothée] lets Kylie just be herself, and there is no pressure from either of them,” they explained. “Their ability to keep things low-key, even with their high-profile careers, has made the connection feel even more genuine.”
