Just before their 1999 wedding ceremony, the pair attended a Versace event in London wearing all-black matching looks. The fashion designer looked back at their ensembles during an interview with Vogue, and revealed that it's one of the momenta that still "haunts" her "like you wouldn’t believe."

© Dave BenettDespite it being a Versace event, their outfits were from Gucci's spring/summer 1999 collection. “The bizarre thing was it was a Versace event, but we turned up wearing matching Gucci leather,” Victoria said to the publication. “I think it was relevant at the time… I think so. Maybe it was just as funny back then; I just didn’t know about it.”

"We were walking out the door and I was like, ‘Why don’t we arrive on a motorbike?’” he told Vogue, adding that looking back he would have regretted it. “Obviously back then it felt like a good idea, but now talking about it, it would have been absolutely ridiculous. I’m not saying I regret them because at the time they felt right, but now I’m not so sure.”
