What color comes to mind when we talk about summer? Associated with sun and warm weather, it’s not uncommon to see yellow everywhere during the warmer times of year.

In fact, it was yellow, albeit lighter shades, that we saw on Celine ,  Alexandre Vauthier  and  Miu Miu runways and on fashionistas’ outfits. Pale and pastel yellow, including vanilla yellow, have taken over—and you’re going to love this trend. Here are a few selections to inspire you to bring it into your closet.

Another way to slenderize your figure is by wearing a draped skirt and a long midi like the Side Buckle Drape Skirt. Its asymmetrical cut will elongate your legs. Vince ($315).

Let the predictions begin

We were given a sneak peek of what color would be part of this summer’s selection when it was showcased at the Afterhomework Ready to Wear Spring/Summer show during Paris Fashion Week. From light, asymmetrical dresses to feminine suits, pastel yellow was frequently featured.

Sheer is here

Pastel colors create an excellent diffuse effect, as can be seen with this spectacular translucent look by blogger Leonie Hanne . Although the color is very subtle, it does not go unnoticed.

And if you need some ideas to put together your looks, these will win you over:

On the other hand, you can always go with tried-and-true black and white to match. Influencer Arielle Charnas used both colors as a base for a pastel blazer that grabbed everyone’s eye.
