From the very beginning, Blake showed that she wasn’t adverse to trying bright colors out at high profile events. At the premiere of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in 2005, she looked fresh-faced and fun in this draped halter neck burnt orange dress.

Almost as soon as Gossip Girl premiered Blake became fashion’s It Girl and, as such, was a regular at the Met Gala. Always walking the line perfectly between the ostentacious without going over-the-top, here she’s pictured at the 2008 edition in a black strapless Ralph Lauren gown with a feathered skirt.

Red’s an obvious choice for blondes and the star of Green Lantern showed how to work a scarlet Versace number at the 2009 Emmy Awards.

To promote The Age Of Adaline in 2015 the California-born actress dared to bear in a transparent, star detailed Monique Lhuillier body suit, with a black coat dress over the top to protect her modesty.

With this form-fitting black velvet Atelier Versace dress with golden detailing and a long train, Blake channelled Greek goddess gorgeousness at the 2017 Golden Globes.

The 2018 Met Gala bore the title Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination, and it was on this occasion that Blake really upped the ante on the style front. She chose an oppulent Versace column dress with an elaborately embroidered skirt and a halo headpiece, deservedly taking her place as one of the best dressed celebrities of the night.

In 2018 she starred in A Simple Favor, where her character Emily Nelson was likened to a grown-up version of Serena van der Woodsen – with the same sense of style – albeit with a more menswear slant. Blake brought the character with her onto the red carpet, rocking a series of fab pant suits such as this three-piece Ralph Lauren one that she wore to the premiere in London.

In 2019 the actress once again chose a yellow outfit to show off her baby bump – her third pregnancy – at the premiere of Pokemon Detective Pikachu. The summery dress by Retrofête helped reflect her natural beauty, enhanced by her gorgeous curls that framed her face.
