It's Friday, so you already know we have our weekly roundup of fresh music to refresh your playlist. It's officially October, and things are starting to get moody, but there are still some high-energy anthems to get you going.

Lasso - superpoder

Lasso is turning the butterflies, nerves, and uncertainty of falling for a friend into his latest single, “superpoder.” Produced by Manuel Lara, the intimate track is about the Venezuelan singer-songwriter’s real-life relationship with Isidora Vives, imagining the ultimate superpower as knowing whether the person you love feels the same way. The song follows “Tu Lunar” and arrives as the final preview of Lasso’s sixth studio album, which has also been teased through “p0rn0grafía” and “¡¡¡FELIZ ANIVERSARIO!!!” Fans have gotten an inside look at the love story behind the track through the couple’s superpoder Storytimes.

KATSEYE - “Hootie Frutti (feat. MC GW & Clementaum) [PEDRO SAMPAIO Remix]

KATSEYE is giving “Hootie Frutti” a Brazilian makeover with the help of DJ and producer PEDRO SAMPAIO. The remix pushes the wild standout further into baile funk, adding extra vocals from MC GW and Clementaum while giving the track a heavier, more club-ready pulse. It builds on the Brazilian funk influence already woven into the original, bringing the genre even further into the spotlight while keeping KATSEYE’s playful energy at the center.

Ricky Martin, PEDRO SAMPAIO - pikito pikito

The one and only Ricky Martin and Brazilian DJ PEDRO SAMPAIO turn up the heat with “pikito pikito,” a high-energy blend of funk carioca, samba, pop, and urban merengue. The flirty track is all about acting on a flirty impulse. The duo debuted the song at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã during the halftime show of the NFL’s first-ever game in the city.

Crimson99  -“Who Am I”

Dominican-Canadian artist Crimson99 is introducing herself with Daredevil, a five-track debut EP built around self-discovery, healing and letting go of perfection. At the heart of the project is “Who Am I,” the very first song she ever recorded on a microphone, and the EP keeps that original demo take. “It’s about allowing love and truth to pierce through fear and hurt. It’s about not listening to all the internalized voices that prevented me from walking my path. It’s about trust and letting go of control and fear,” Crimson99 says. Recorded live with a band in a single day and produced by Montreal musician Koko Love, Daredevil embraces the rawness of the recording process rather than trying to smooth it out.

The Venezuelan trio revisits the chemistry that first brought them together on “Culito Nuevo 2,” but this time the story centers on wanting to find your way back to someone from the past.
