Danny Ramirez will not be returning for the upcoming season of "The Last of Us." Ramirez starred in the second season of the series, featured in scenes opposite Pedro Pascal, Kaitlyn Dever, and more, becoming one of the biggest projects of his career.
According to new reports, Ramirez won't be starring in the HBO show due to scheduling conflicts. He's one of the busiest young actors in Hollywood, starring in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with him scheduled to be featured on next year's "Avengers: Doomsday."
According to IMDB, he's scheduled for 6 projects in the near future, including a remake of "Scarface," with him playing the role of Tony Montana, made famous by Al Pacino.
Ramirez joined "The Last of Us" on season 2, playing Manny, a soldier who is friends with Abby (Dever) and helps her carry out her revenge on Joel (Pascal). His role is expected to have an expanded impact on season 3, which marks a departure from the previous seasons of the show, placing Abby as the series' central character.
Ramirez's personal life
Ramirez's career has been on the rise for the past couple of years, starring in some of the biggest projects in film and TV. His personal life has also been the subject of media interest, with him starting a relationship with Jessica Alba throughout the past year. The relationship marks Alba's first since her divorce from Cash Warren.
According to US Weekly, Ramirez and Alba were friends before they began dating, and met through mutual friends. “They run in the same social circle, and that is how they were connected,” said a source.
The pair have been spotted enjoying themselves throughout Los Angeles and in Mexico, where they were seen enjoying their vacation together. They've attended red carpet premiere events together, and while they've yet to address their romance publicly, the two have shared photos together on social media.
In November of this year, Ramirez shared a post sharing a look at the Baby2Baby gala, sharing a photo alongside Alba, with her wrapping her arm around him as they dress their best in a black tux and a black gown. "What a remarkable evening by the entire @baby2baby team and all who donated. $19.5 million raised in minutes! Helping baby2baby support for children across America and continue their vital work providing essentials to families in need," he captioned the post.
Alba dropped a heart eyes emoji in the comments.
