Tom Holland is stepping back into the Spider-Verse — and this time, with a brand-new look.
On Saturday, August 2, the 29-year-old actor shared an exciting teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse at his updated Spidey suit. In the short clip, Holland approaches the camera wearing the new costume. Looking offscreen, he asks, “Are you ready?” before turning back to the camera with a grin and running out of frame. A title card for the film follows.
The upcoming film marks the fourth entry in the Spider-Man series co-produced by Marvel and Sony, continuing the story after the explosive events of 2021’s No Way Home. Holland returns as Peter Parker, joined once again by Zendaya as MJ Jones-Watson. New additions to the cast include Stranger Things star Sadie Sink and The Bear’s Liza Colón-Zayas.
Holland previously confirmed the project during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October 2024. Known for occasionally spoiling plot points, the British star has managed to keep tight-lipped about this next installment.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton, taking the reins for the first time in the franchise, teased the film at Sony’s CinemaCon presentation in April 2025. “I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world,” he said.
He added, “We’re all just daily nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
Beyond Spider-Man, Holland and Zendaya — who got engaged in January — are also set to co-star in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic, The Odyssey. The project boasts a star-studded cast including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong’o, and Robert Pattinson.
Zendaya is also preparing to return as Rue in HBO’s Euphoria, and has been spotted filming The Drama, another upcoming project with Pattinson.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
