A 2025 Super Bowl champion will be heading to the most magical place on earth the day after the championship game. The winner of Sunday's big game is set to celebrate at Walt Disney World this year. Three days before the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles' matchup in New Orleans, Walt Disney World announced on its Instagram Story that it would be hosting this year's winner. "We look forward to celebrating the winner of Super Bowl LIX," the announcement on Feb. 6 read.

According to ESPN, Disney's Super Bowl tradition started back in 1987 with New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms, who was the first to exclaim "I'm going to go to Disney World!" after his Super Bowl XXI victory. Per ESPN, it is the Super Bowl MVP who typically answers the "What are you going to do next?" question after winning the Super Bowl, and replies with the famous catchphrase that they're going to either Disney World or Disneyland; they are then "treated to a subsequent trip" to Walt Disney World in Florida or Disneyland in California.

Following the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII win, quarterback and 2024 Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes and his family—wife Brittany Mahomes, their daughter Sterling Skye and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III—visited Disneyland, where the football player participated in a celebratory cavalcade with Disney characters. The parade route started by “it’s a small world” and made its way down to Main Street U.S.A. with Patrick riding on a float decorated with Kansas City Chiefs-colored balloons.

Last year wasn't Patrick's first post-Super Bowl trip to a Disney theme park. In 2023, after the Chiefs beat the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, Patrick visited Disneyland, and in 2020, the NFL star paid a visit to the Magic Kingdom following his first Super Bowl win. Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning are among football stars who have celebrated Super Bowl wins at Disney parks over the years.
