Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey are returning to TV for a good cause, following their controversial interview with Meghan Markle, the pair have created a documentary series about mental health.
The project will explore the emotional wellbeing of different people across the globe, and the viewers will get to see some familiar faces, including Lady Gaga, Glenn Close, DeMar DeRozan, Langston Galloway, Rashad Armstead, Zak Williams and more.
Described as a docuseries that “transcends culture, age, gender, and socioeconomic status,” The Me You Can’t See will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ on May 21, promising to show honest discussions about unique emotional journeys.
© Apple TV+Oprah and Harry’s purpose is to destigmatize a “highly misunderstood subject and give hope to viewers who learn that they are not alone,“ as it was announced by Apple TV.
They will also be guided by 14 accredited and respected experts and organizations from around the world, “to help shed light on different pathways to treatment.”
© GettyImagesThe highly-anticipated series was first announced in 2019, however it was delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and Harry’s departure from the royal family.
Oprah also expressed the importance to have an open discussion and the need to replace the shame surrounding mental health “with wisdom, compassion, and honesty,” adding their desire to spark a global conversation.
