Chris Hemsworth was ready to cheer on his daughter India Rose ahead of her bull-riding competition. But before the 14-year-old showed off her skills in the arena, she had a quick lesson for her famous father.
In a video shared alongside footage of her ride, the 'Thor ' star walks with India and enthusiastically introduces her as a champion bull rider.
When he suggests she try to hold on for seven seconds, however, she promptly corrects him. The target is eight. Hemsworth takes the correction with humor, acknowledging that his daughter knows more about the challenge ahead.
“Seven? Why seven? You have to stay on it for eight,” India says. “Eight seconds. What do I know?” jokes Hemsworth as the video ends.
It is a playful father-daughter moment that sets up an impressive result. According to Hemsworth, India was the only girl competing. And took home the win.
A proud dad moment:
The actor posted the videos on Instagram on September 30, giving followers a look at both their exchange and India’s performance. In the competition clip, she holds on as the bull bucks around the dirt arena.
Hemsworth’s accompanying message left little doubt about his reaction.
“Just wanna say my daughter is a savage,” he wrote. “Only girl in the comp and took home the win. proud moment,” his caption continued.
While he may not have had every rule memorized beforehand, the actor was clearly delighted to celebrate his daughter’s achievement afterward.
A passion she shares with Elsa Pataky:
India’s latest rodeo appearance follows an earlier glimpse of the interest she shares with her mother, Elsa Pataky.
In July, the actress shared footage of their rodeo preparations. India practiced on a real animal, while Pataky tried an improvised mechanical training setup, offering followers a look at their shared pastime.
The new videos bring that story forward, showing India putting her skills to use in competition, with her father there to encourage her.
India is the eldest of Hemsworth and Pataky’s three children. The couple also share 12-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan, and their children have developed a taste for adventurous activities.
In a July Instagram post from Costa Rica, Hemsworth also celebrated their enthusiasm for adrenaline-filled experiences. This time, though, it was India’s turn in the spotlight. Between correcting her dad and securing a win, the teenager gave him plenty to be proud of.
