In photos shared over the weekend, Ivanka was photographed in her workout clothes leaving Bündchen's home. She wore blue tights and a black long-sleeve workout shirt, which she complemented with dark sunglasses and her hair held back in a ponytail. She was carrying a water bottle, her white jiu-jitsu kimono, and a blue belt, confirming that she was practicing the sport.

Ever since Ivanka and Bündchen relocated to Miami, the two have become friends. They were photographed in Costa Rica together and also in Miami, with Ivanka on Bündchen and her partner Joaquim Valente's yacht

Ivanka has spoken about her jiu-jitsu training in the past, with her training at the Valente Brothers studio, one of the most prominent jiu-jitsu academies in the area. The business is run by Joaquim and his brothers, with them teaching the practice to Bündchen, Ivanka, and all of their children.

Bündchen has been practicing jiu-jitsu since 2021. It's how she met her partner.

"I became really interested in the philosophy [behind practicing jiu-jitsu]," she said in an interview with Dust magazine. "It felt very much in line with what I believe in and look for in my life, and how I have a path to develop and become the best version of myself."

"It's actually because of my son that I met Joaquim," she continued. "I have a friend who told me about the Valente brothers and their martial art school, and since I wanted to steer my almost teenage son in the right direction, I thought he might be interested in this."

Ivanka has been practicing jiu-jitsu since her move to Miami, which sparked a renewed interest and a commitment to her fitness.

"I recently got jiu-jitsu," said Ivanka in an interview with The Skinny Confidential. "My daughter Arabella came to me and said, 'As a woman, I feel like I need to know how to defend myself, and I don't have the confidence level yet that I can do that. Can you sign me up for a self-defense class?' And my jaw just hit the ground."

Ivanka then shouted out the Valente brothers as great teachers, inspiring her whole family to get involved with the sport. "I joined. Then my two sons wanted to join in on what their older sister was doing. Then my husband joined. It's almost like a moving meditation."
