Inde Navarrette is one of this year's most exciting young stars. After becoming an overnight sensation following her work in "Obsession," which elevated a low-budget movie into one of the biggest box office successes of the year, Navarrette's reach feels inescapable. She just confirmed she's joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be starring in the upcoming "X-Men" movie.

Navarrette also has a great sense of humor. In a new campaign with Gap, she revealed one of the things people are surprised by the most when they first meet her. "I'm five feet tall," she said.

"I've gotten a lot where people are meeting me in real life, and they're like, 'You're a lot smaller than I thought you were.' And I was like... 'How big did you think I was?'"

Navarrette shed a look at her personal style, painting a very vivid image. "I would describe my personal style as if Adam Sandler and Christian Louboutin had a baby," she said.

Navarrette's exciting year

Inde Navarrette remains this year's most memorable breakout star, with her turn as Nicki in "Obsession" inspiring Academy Award rumors.

“She is on everyone’s short list right now,” said a producer to Page Six, revealing that she's likely to turn up in numerous big-budget projects in the near future.

Her next project is the highly anticipated 'X-Men' movie

Despite the large spotlight that's on her, Navarrette has taken her time with her projects, turning down numerous roles, including the new horror project directed by Matthias Hoene. That same report claims that her commitment to the new X-Men movie resulted in the end of her involvement with "Heat 2," an anticipated sequel starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale.

In past interviews, Navarrette reasserted her commitment to building a long and stable career. “I really want to prove that ‘Obsession’ wasn’t just lightning in a bottle,” she told Nylon

“This is something that I really love and want to continue doing, but of course that’s going to take time. I want people to take that time to trust that I have that capability. I also want to fall on my face publicly and have something that people don’t like, [but] maybe I do.”

In the coming months, we'll likely have more updates on her career or her possible awards run.
