Romy Reiner is continuing to develop her career as an actress. Her most recent role connects her to her late father, Rob Reiner, who tragically died last December alongside his wife, Michelle

Romy was featured on Larry David's HBO series "Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness." Her appearance took place weeks after her dad made a posthumous appearance on the same show,  shot a month before his death. The appearance was kept a secret from the public until its airtime on July 3rd.

Romy starred as a nurse in the season finale, marking another step in following in her parents' footsteps, who were both giants in the entertainment world. In past years, she's had cameos and roles in different shows and films, including another Larry David series, "Curb Your Enthusiasm," which marked her acting debut in 2021.

She has four projects in development, including the movie "You Drive Me Nuts," which co-stars her brother Jake.

More details about their family

In December of last year, the Reiner family sparked many headlines after parents Rob and Michelle were found dead in their home in Los Angeles. Their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested and charged with their deaths.

An official trial date has yet to be set, but Nick's next court appearance is scheduled for September 15th at a preliminary hearing where evidence will be reviewed and next steps will be announced.

Rob and Michelle shared three kids: Nick, Romy, and Jake. Rob is also the adoptive father of Tracy Reiner, the daughter of his first wife, Penny Marshall.

“Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day,” reads a statement by Jake and Romy shared days following their parents' death. “The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends.”

Over the past year, the siblings have steered clear of the spotlight. In a personal essay, Jake opened up about the moment he learned of his parents' death. He revealed that he was at a party when he received a call from his sister, who broke the news.

“The 45-minute Lyft ride from downtown to the west side was unendurable. My world, as I knew it, had collapsed. I was in a trance,” he wrote. “The only thing I could focus on was that I needed to get to my childhood home. I needed to get to my sister. I needed to figure out what the hell just happened.”
