In a new statement shared on PerezHilton.com, Hilton's loved ones said his condition is "serious but stable" but confirmed he sustained injuries that will require surgery in the coming days.

According to his family, Hilton remains hospitalized under Florida's Baker Act, which allows for an involuntary mental health evaluation under certain circumstances. They emphasized that his communication has been limited to immediate family members, medical providers, and others directly involved in his care.
