Cardi B went all out to celebrate daughter Kulture's eighth birthday. The 33-year-old Grammy-winning rapper marked the occasion earlier this month with a Care Bears-themed party, where a towering custom cake served as the celebration's centerpiece.
The 3.5-foot-tall, four-tiered custom cake was covered in rainbow colors, along with designs including more than 700 sugar flowers, white fondant clouds, swirling rainbows, yellow stars and glitter.
The cake was topped with the number eight in pink and featured seven Care Bear statues standing in front of the cake, spelling out 'Kulture'. It was designed, baked and sculpted by Florida-based cake artist Kristina Lavallee (who goes by The Cake Girl) – who has created desserts for the Bodak Yellow hitmaker during the last two years.
It was claimed that the cake took Lavallee 28 hours to make. She said in a statement, "It was an honor to be trusted with such a special occasion again this year. "I always enjoy working with Cardi to bring her dreams to reality. I know how special her kids are to her, and that is something I take very seriously."
A Look Into the Birthday Celebrations
Cardi gave her Instagram followers an insight into the festivities with a carousel of photos and videos.
In the post, Kulture – who the Am I the Drama rapper has with her ex-husband Offset – is seen posing on a private jet in a baby blue dress with another Care Bear-themed cake.
Cardi wrote in the caption, "Happy birthday to my sweet beautiful first born @kulturekiari...just the most kind hearted girl in the world. My real life bestie. Shout out to @universalorlando A TIME WAS HAD!! Ooo and of course @thecakegirl for the amazing cakes."
Kulture is 'very vibrant'
Cardi told E! News earlier this year that Kulture has a "very vibrant" sense of style. She said of her daughter, "She loves colourful things, like she loves graphic things. She likes rainbows. She likes flowers. She's a very vibrant, vibrant girl. She likes to dress like very pretty, very girly. She's like a girly girl."
Cardi's Parenting Approach
The I Like It singer revealed last year that she wants to raise her children to be "better than her". Cardi, who also has son Wave, four, and daughter Blossom, 22 months, with Offset and an eight-month-old son with NFL star Stefon Diggs, told Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast, "I want you to be, not perfect because you cannot make your kids perfect and you don't want you to put pressure on your kids (to be) perfect – but I want you to be a 100 times better version than me, and I'm gonna (instill) that in you."
Adding, "and you're gonna be mad and you're gonna be crying, but you're gonna appreciate that one day because I wish the things that I put in my kids that somebody put in me when I was younger."
