Rosalía is back on stage after taking an unexpected pause from her highly anticipated LUX World Tour.
The Spanish superstar officially launched the North American leg of her global tour on June 11 with a sold-out show at Boston's TD Garden, marking her return after postponing several Florida dates due to a family emergency.
Earlier this month, Rosalía announced that she would be postponing three concerts, two scheduled at Miami's Kaseya Center on June 4 and June 6, and another at Orlando's Kia Center on June 8, explaining that an unforeseen family situation required her full attention.
"Sometimes life happens in ways you don't expect, and loved ones need to come first," she shared at the time, adding that postponing the concerts was a decision she had "no other choice" but to make.
As she returned to the stage in Boston, Rosalía addressed the difficult period during an emotional moment with the crowd.
Fighting back tears, the singer explained that when painful and unexpected family events occur, "it can be hard to keep going," before emphasizing the importance of finding the strength to move forward.
The emotional comeback came as Rosalía kicked off the North American leg of the LUX Tour with a sold-out performance featuring songs from her latest album, LUX, alongside fan-favorite hits from MOTOMAMI.
The ambitious production included elaborate choreography, breathtaking visuals, a live ballet sequence, a stripped-back acoustic interlude and custom Dior stage looks.
Since its release, LUX has become the strongest commercial debut of Rosalía's career, debuting at No. 1 on Spotify's Global Top Albums chart and setting new milestones for Spanish-language music worldwide.
Following Boston, the North American run of the LUX Tour will continue with stops in Toronto, New York City, Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Oakland before the singer heads to Latin America later this summer. The previously postponed Florida dates have been rescheduled for September.
