Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth’s eldest child showed off her fearless side in a high-adrenaline stunt. India Hemsworth, 14, bombed down rugged terrain and zoomed up a hill on her dirt bike before she rode the vehicle in the air for a matter of seconds before landing sideways.
Chris, then 42, watched as India retried the jaw-dropping performance and was left amazed when she perfectly landed. The Thor actor shared the thrilling moment on Instagram on Sunday (04.19.26) with the caption, “Close call and wildly impressed more girl hung onto this landing! So proud ❤️”
A Family Rooted in Nature
Elsa, who was 49 at the time, and Chris were also parents to 11-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan. The family, who lived in Byron Bay, Australia, adored being outdoors.
Back in 2021, Chris told People, “It feels like summer all year round where we live. We got a big plot of land, a farm with horses, and our kids surf, fish and ride motorbikes all day. And we pretty much do the same.”Fast and Furious 6 actress Elsa added, “It’s just being able to enjoy nature. When we go to a city, it’s hard for us as a family, because we live outside, basically. We are in contact with nature all the time.”
India, Sasha, and Tristan famously preferred to be out in nature rather than sit and watch one of their parents’ movies. In February of that year, People asked Chris whether his children were interested in him being a global film star.
The Crime 101 cast member replied, “They don’t care. They don’t care at all. I reckon when they first realized I was Thor, they thought it was really cool. And then they realized they couldn’t fly, and they thought it was less cool. Now they’re just like, ‘Ah, Dad, whatever.’ Teenagers.”
Keeping the Marriage Strong
Elsa and Chris married in Australia in December 2010, months after they were introduced by his talent agent, William Ward. They credited honesty for keeping their marriage strong.
Around the time of the event, Chris told People, “There’s an honesty, the north star of truth, that you’re going to get with Elsa. I can show something to a bunch of other people, and they might be like, ‘Oh, great work,’ but Elsa will tell me if it sucks.” The Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga alum Elsa agreed, adding, “I’ll tell him, ‘That’s actually not funny. It doesn’t work.’”
