Later that same day, Aleska Génesis surprised her followers by revealing she had already been selected to advance in the process. “See you soon, Victoria’s Secret!” the Venezuelan entrepreneur wrote on social media, hinting at the possibility of making one of her biggest professional dreams a reality.

The former “La casa de los famosos” contestant later shared more details about the emotional moment in a video posted online. According to Aleska, she decided to apply immediately after seeing the casting announcement, even though she initially felt nervous about completing her first audition entirely in English. “I was selected by Victoria’s Secret. You guys know what this means, right? A few days ago, I saw that Victoria’s Secret opened a virtual casting and I thought, why not? This is my moment,” she told followers.

The upcoming runway production is part of Victoria’s Secret’s new era, which includes a more inclusive, digitally focused, and globally connected format. This year, for the first time, the company launched a nationwide virtual casting call, opening the door for aspiring models to compete for a coveted runway spot and a professional contract with IMG Models.

On April 6, the brand announced through social media that applications were officially open, inviting women from different backgrounds to participate in the casting process. According to the company, the new format will allow audiences to follow contestants throughout every stage of the competition, creating a more transparent and interactive experience.
