At 70 years old, Whoopi Goldberg knows where and how to get the job done when she's looking to get her fix. The proudly single talk show host has opened up in the past about her appreciation of a good hook-up, and on Wednesday's episode of "The View," she shared insight on her methods.

On Wednesday’s episode of “The View,” Goldberg brought up an article in Cosmopolitan about a woman in a long-term relationship who fantasizes about being single.

“She writes that sometimes, she finds herself missing the days of casual flings and bar-hopping,” Goldberg explained. Her cohost Joy Behar asked, “Do you miss those days?” Goldberg wasted no time saying, “I am single." “Yeah, I bar hop, I go hang! And I do hit and runs when I need it," she continued. “I am not married to anybody, I don’t have responsibility.”

With her four cohosts, Behar, Sara Eisen, Sara Haines, and Ana Navarro, all married, Goldberg told them, “Okay, so you four have responsibilities,” before asking if they ever miss the single life. While none of them admitted to missing hit and runs at the bar, they did share aspects that they missed, like sitting alone and binge eating ice cream.

Goldberg has opened up in the past about her life as a bachelorette, and she has declared her preference for the single life. While she maintains that she doesn't have time for a relationship, she told Don Lemon in 2024 that overnight “hit-and-runs” are “great,” and she doesn't "mind those," but they "can't spend the night.”

Whoopi's history of saying "I do"

The Ghost star has made it clear she has no intention of walking down the aisle again after being married 3 times. On a May 2024 episode of Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? She said, "It's terrible." "You know, when you’re married to somebody, you have to be invested in how they’re feeling."

Goldberg was first married to Alvin Martin in 1973, her former drug counselor and the father of her daughter, Alex. They split in 1979.

Her second marriage was to Dutch cinematographer David Claessen in 1986, but their relationship lasted just two years.

In 1994, she tied the knot with actor and union organizer Lyle Trachtenberg, but they divorced a year later in 1995.

So, with the world pressuring women that marriage is the way to go, you can take some notes from Goldberg and not feel guilty if you just want to have fun.
