Chelsea Handler is sharing some juicy celebrity gossip. In a recent appearance on her podcast, Handler opened up about a mansion she bought from Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the current US Secretary of Health and Human Services, and his wife, Cheryl Hines. According to Handler, the $5.9 million mansion was left in such a state that she hasn't been able to live in it, even though she bought it five years ago.

Handler discussed the moment in an episode of her podcast, "Dear Chelsea," where she was chatting with Denis Leary, another prominent comedian. She revealed that she bought the five-bedroom home five years ago, describing the purchase as a "disaster."

"That's how f---ed up this house was, the idea that this guy is in charge of the health of our country when he didn't even have a proper foundation at his house," she said.

Handler revealed that the home had many problems that were revealed after inspectors checked out the house and the purchase had been completed, sharing that it had an "illegal" outdoor storage unit. She said that the purchase was conducted through private trusts in October 2021, with the identities of the buyer and shopper kept hidden. “It was a disaster, and I didn’t know it going in because everything was, you know, under wraps,” she said.

Per Curbed, the home is located in Brentwood, California, and was built in 1937, equipped with a pool and more amenities.

According to her contractors, the property was described as "the most toxic environment." She said that at least three people told her that the home was "cursed."

“Now we have to remove his illegal bulls–t from my property and I’m like, ‘how did they not find this upon the first inspection?'’ she said.

Handler finished her story by sharing that Hines left her a personal note once the purchase was completed. “Cheryl Hines left me a note saying, 'Let us know if there’s anything we can do for you, Chelsea.' I’m like, ‘yeah, how about a f—ing foundation’” she said. “That’s something you could do for me. Anyway, I’m not angry about it or anything. I’m totally over it.”

Hines and Kennedy reportedly purchased another home on the same street for $6.6 million.
