Marc Anthony, a close friend of the Beckhams, has spoken publicly for the first time about the family rift and Brooklyn’s explosive message in which he revealed the reasons behind his estrangement. In that same message, the salsa star’s name was mentioned as being involved in the uncomfortable moment that Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz allegedly experienced at their wedding, when, according to him, his mother, Victoria Beckham, sabotaged their first dance as a married couple.
Marc sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss his upcoming Las Vegas residency, and toward the end of the interview, he was asked about the delicate situation facing the family of his dear friend, David Beckham. “I have nothing to say about what’s going on with the family. They are a wonderful family,” said the performer of “Vivir Mi Vida.”
© VIXRegarding his bond with the Beckhams, Marc explained that he has known them for a long time, even before their children were born. “I’ve known them since before the kids were born. I’m Cruz’s godfather. I have a very close relationship with the family. But I have nothing to say about what happened there,” he added. “It’s extremely unfortunate how the situation is unfolding, but what’s happening is not the truth.”
Although he did not elaborate further on the fracture between the couple’s eldest son and his parents, the 57-year-old singer appeared to show support for David and Victoria Beckham during this painful time.

The insider claimed that Marc invited Victoria to come up on stage, referring to her as “the most beautiful woman of the night,” a gesture that reportedly upset the couple, especially Nicola. “They felt that Victoria ruined their wedding and couldn’t understand why,” the source said.

You could hear a pin drop.” Several witnesses also stated that at that moment, “everyone saw Nicola run out of the room crying.”

In the message the young Beckham shared on his social media on January 19, Marc Anthony was mentioned as one of the key figures in the uncomfortable moment at the wedding. “My mother took over my first dance with my wife, which we had planned weeks with a romantic love song,” said Brooklyn, 26.
“In front of the 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where according to the program my romantic dance with my wife was scheduled, but instead my mother was waiting for me to dance with her. She danced very inappropriately in front of everyone,” added the aspiring chef. “I have never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my life.”
