Fresh off the New York premiere of her upcoming comedy 'Idiotka' on February 5, Mendes offered a candid update on where things stand. Speaking with People, the 31-year-old revealed that while the engagement itself feels surreal, the wedding planning process is still very much unfolding.

Mendes later reflected on the moment herself, calling the proposal the "best surprise ever" in a post shared on Instagram. "Thank you to all our loved ones who came out to celebrate this milestone with us," she wrote.
