One of the biggest surprises of Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show was the appearance of Ricky Martin. The Puerto Rican icon appeared on camera amid a striking set filled with sugar canes and working-class dancers moving along to infectious Latin beats. As one of Puerto Rico’s most influential musical and cultural ambassadors, Ricky delivered a powerful rendition of "Lo Que Pasó en Hawaii," one of Bad Bunny's most complex songs. The sequence came seconds after Lady Gaga captivated the audience with a salsa version of her hit song "Die With a Smile."

Martin's ex, Jwan Yosef, shared his reaction and excitement online.

The performance marked a special milestone for Ricky, who later shared behind-the-scenes photos on social media alongside Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga. He posted a video capturing Bad Bunny’s excitement as he embraced Martin after the show, a performance that's destined for the history books.

“I’m going to need a few hours to fully process the tsunami of emotions I’m feeling,” Ricky wrote. “Thank you, Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga.”

The post quickly filled with likes and comments, including one from Yosef, his ex-husband, who made sure to witness the special moment. Celebrating the Latin representation that permeated the performance, Yosef commented, “Today, we are all Puerto Rican,” adding a Puerto Rican flag.

The message was a warm show of support that highlighted the strong bond and mutual respect the former couple continues to share.

Tino reposted photos of his father on his Instagram account, adding some heart and lightning-bolt emojis to express his pride in Martin's participation in such a meaningful moment for Latinos all over the world. He also shared additional clips from the show, underscoring his unwavering support for his dad.

Jwan Yosef celebrates his own milestone with his children

While the festivities and football action continued at Levi’s Stadium, Jwan Yosef was celebrating a personal achievement on the West Coast.

The Syrian-born artist inaugurated his exhibition "Touch," attending the opening alongside his two children, whom he shares with Ricky Martin: Renn and Lucia. Yosef posed playfully with them for some photos, showing how important his kids are to his art, his career, and his life.
